I had a really great overall experience with A1! Their customer service was fantastic, from helping me over the phone to get everything set up for my classes, to practicing driving with the best instructor, Corrie! After just a few classes, I got my license, and the entire process was smooth and not stressful at all. Highly recommend!
This is the place to be if you want to learn how to drive. I had previously signed up with another driving school, had absolutely no experience and he just took me on the road with no heads up. That wasn’t the best approach, luckily on the next session I met Carlos (R.I.P) who was absolutely amazing. He took me to a parking lot and had me do turns, and learning all the basics which is the best approach for someone with no experience. He then told me about A1 driving and that’s where all the magic started. Everyone of the instructor is amazing at what they do, they’ll make sure you have all the skills you need not just to pass the test but a good and safe driver. I couldn’t have been any happier with them😊

I was the most anxious student there was. I had family members that REFUSED to teach me to drive because of how horrible I was behind the wheel. I took classes with Patricia, David, and Carlos. They were all phenomenal and each had amazing advice. They really take the time to personalize the experience and give great pointers. I appreciated them all so much and the customer service was equally impressive. Worth every dollar! Thanks to A1 I am not only licensed but confident and safe behind the wheel. Would recommend strongly for new drivers or even those that need a refresh before getting behind the wheel.
In my opinion this is the best place to get your license and to practice. I had a great experience with my driving instructors, they gave me the confidence for my actual driving test. I felt really prepared and less nervous. The people that work here made it a beeeze schedule my driving test and they helped me with my paperwork.
I only took the driving lessons behind the wheel. My instructor David was amazing! He was thorough and funny. He kept everything light and the drive was scenic. His reassurance helped build my confidence which is needed for student/ new drivers. I would definitely recommend this place and they are very prompt in answering emails. So don't hesitate if you're on the market for a driving school. They do offer package deals too.

When I first came to apply for my license, I had no idea where to start or what I needed. When a friend of mine recommended A1, I gave it a shot! They took care of everything from a-z. They improved my driving skills, pointed out the rights and wrongs, as well as giving me pointers on what the driving inspector will take extra notice on. They made me pass with flying colors and I got my license thanks to them! Beautiful customer service and treated me like family!Very fluent in Spanish as well!
Very kind people which is a must for when your teaching someone to drive. I was super nervous but with how they taught and helped me out through the lesson it all vanished. Highly recommend this place if you need to learn how to drive but need a friendly environment to learn.

A-1 is really the best in CT! We needed to pass our 8-Hour driving course in short time to make it for a driving test we had booked with the CT DMV in Enfield. We called EVERYWHERE and we could barely get in touch with a real person let alone get the needed form on time. A-1 made it happen and even met up with me so I could pick up the form directly instead of waiting for it in the mail. THANKS SO MUCH YOU GUYS ROCK!

Driving Classes for Teens at A1-Driving School
Driving classes for teens in English and Spanish, available both online and in-person. Choose the option that best suits your needs. Teenagers driving in Bridgeport, Stratford, and Waterbury, Connecticut. Driving for teens in Bridgeport, Stratford, and Waterbury, Connecticut.

The 8 Hour Course (Drug & Alcohol class) is the minimum requirement to get your license in the state of CT. With the 8 hour course, teens must have their learner’s permit for at least 180 days before they can take the test for their driver’s license.
 The 8 hour course is divided into 4 parts. All students must attend parts 1-4 in order to complete the course and receive their certificate.Â
We are unable to process your 8 hour certificate without your Learner’s Permit Number. If you do not have your permit yet, you may still take the 8 Hour course. Simply let us know when you do get your permit, so we may process your certificate.
This includes the required 2-hour Parent Class.
All driver education certificates are ELECTRONIC and will be issued in the DMV system upon completion of course.
We are unable to process certificates without your Learner’s Permit Number. If you do not have your permit yet, you may still take the 8 Hour course. Simply let us know when you do get your permit, so we may process your certificate. You will receive a copy of your certificate through email.
We offer driving lessons for students ages 16 and up, specialized driving for teens. You are required to have your CT Learner’s permit to take any lessons behind the wheel.
Whether you’re just learning to drive or have been driving for years, we provide the behind-the-wheel training you need. Get safely behind the wheel with A1-Driving.com’s patient, friendly, professional instructors. Our drivers training covers everything you need to know to ace the driving test and become a safe, confident driver. Behind the wheel lessons start from our office in Stratford, Bridgeport DMV or Waterbury DMV. We do not offer pick up/drop off.

Parent Course is REQUIRED parents of all students aged 16 & 17. Only parents are required to take this class. Price is included with TEEN 8 Hour course.
